ITPC welcomes leadership representatives from Thompson Rivers University, Canada

On the afternoon of January 13, ITPC had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Thompson Rivers University (Canada) to discuss potential collaboration and explore opportunities for implementing international programs. With a strong commitment to internationalizing education and promoting the development of joint international training programs, ITPC representatives expressed their interest in collaborating with Thompson Rivers University on programs based in Canada.

Representatives from Saigon Technology University (STU) attending the meeting included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Kim Anh – Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Tung Lam – Director of the ITPC International Training Center, and Dr. Dang Van Thuong – Head of the R&D and Graduate Studies Department.

On the side of Thompson Rivers University (TRU), the delegation included MSc. ZiPing Feng – Head of International Admissions, Ms. Natalie Nguyen – Director of Mighty ID, and Mr. Mark Christian O. Valdez from AMV Consulting.

MSc. ZiPing Feng, representing TRU, expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception from STU. He introduced an overview of TRU to the STU representatives. TRU is a public university currently educating over 4,000 international students across programs ranging from undergraduate to doctoral levels. The university maintains partnerships with institutions in countries such as Spain, China, India, and Vietnam. Additionally, TRU collaborates with postdoctoral researchers and offers short-term internships ranging from 2 to 4 weeks for international students.

Following the introduction of the university and its programs, TRU expressed a desire to collaborate with ITPC, aiming to expand opportunities for students to access international programs. The two universities will continue discussions to evaluate and finalize the necessary components to implement these programs for students. This meeting also lays the foundation for future international collaboration between the two institutions.
