
On the morning of March 12, 2025, Saigon Technology University (STU) and Thompson Rivers University (TRU), British Columbia, Canada, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in the educational collaboration between the two institutions. This agreement represents an important step forward in STU’s strategy to internationalize education and opens up numerous development opportunities for both students and faculty members of the two universities.

This agreement opens up numerous opportunities for collaboration in the fields of academic programs, scientific research, and student exchange, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and international integration at STU.
Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of Saigon Technology University (STU) were:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hao Thi – President of STU
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Kim Anh – Vice President of STU
- Dr. Nguyen Tung Lam – Director of the International Training Program Center (ITPC)

Representing Thompson Rivers University (TRU) were:
- Dr. Suraj Shah – Director of Marketing and International Admissions, along with leaders from other TRU departments.
Thompson Rivers University is one of the largest public universities in Canada, offering over 200 programs and serving nearly 26,000 students across its campuses in Kamloops and Williams Lake.

During the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hao Thi expressed his delight at the new development in the partnership between STU and TRU. He emphasized the desire to quickly implement joint academic programs to strengthen the universities’ reputation and reaffirm their commitment to promoting international collaboration.
